Beginning Experience
Beginning Experience of Kansas City
Beginning Experience is for adults grieving the loss of a love relationship caused by death, separation or divorce. Program participants are those individuals who are ready to come to terms with their loss and are open to the dialog and self reflection necessary for personal growth.
Beginning Experience believes that through resolving the grief of a significant loss:
- Individuals participate in the death and resurrection of Christ as he lives in the world today
- That those working through this experience can effectively walk with others for whom the experience is new and hard
- That the invitation to recover offers an opportunity for life transformation, and for freeing individuals to love self, others and God in new and deeper ways.

Two programs are offered, a shorter introductory program called Coping with Life Alone and the full version, the Beginning Experience Weekend.
Beginning Experience Weekend
The Beginning ExperienceWeekend helps grieving persons focus on their experience and deal with the natural grief process, offering them an opportunity to turn the pain of loss into an experience of positive growth, emerging from the darkness of grief into the light of a new beginning.
Coping with Life Alone
"Coping with Life Alone ®" is a Beginning Experience ® grief support program that meets each week for 7 weeks. The program helps those who have lost a love relationship due to death, divorce or separation, move through the experience of grief and loss into a future with renewed hope.
