Domestic Church Retreat for Married Couples
Couples are invited to take advantage of this simple, beautiful gift of formation, accountability, and true, organic growth in love and faith within their Sacrament, building and strengthening the foundations of the Domestic Church.
New format: 3 days at a host parish, with no overnight stays.
Saint Columban Parish will be hosting a 3-Day Retreat for married couples on Friday, April 26th (6:00pm-9pm); Saturday, April 27th (8:00am-6pm); and Sunday, April 28th (7:30am-3:30pm). This retreat is first and foremost a chance to encounter Christ together as a married couple and to enrich your spiritual life together. It is also an introduction to the Domestic Church movement which provides ongoing support and formation for married couples. The opportunity to participate in this ongoing formation will be discussed during the retreat.
Domestic Church has been an essential part of our maturing in our relationship with the Lord and with each other. We needed the aid of community, formation, consistency, and accountability to form deep prayer habits in our personal and family life. Prayer and reading of the Scriptures especially went from being something we did once in a while to a daily pillar of our lives. COST:
$125 per couple* -includes dinner Friday, morning snacks, lunch, and dinner on Saturday, and brunch on Sunday. Scholarship funding is available. NO couple will be turned away due to financial need.
