Some of the most intense pain a wife could experience is that of a husband’s sexual sin.  Has your heart been broken or even shattered by betrayal trauma?  Betrayal trauma results from the wounds inflicted by a husband’s sexual addiction, pornography use, and/or sexual acting out.  You may be devastated feeling like you are left alone to pick up the broken pieces. 

This group aims to provide an opportunity to breathe life back into oneself while working through the pain of a husband’s pornography addiction and move toward a future of hope, surrender, trust, and forgiveness.  This group will be a safe environment to interact with other wives who have similar experiences.

Dates:  Wednesdays: January 5, 12, 19, 26, and February 2, 9, 16

Time:  9:00-10:30 am

Cost: $275 (includes seven, 1 ½ hour sessions and the cost of workbook/supplies)

About the Group Leader:  Julie Nielsen, LMSW is a therapist at Center for Healing, LLC.  Julie will lead the group through a workbook aimed at healing a wounded heart.  She has her own lived experience of betrayal trauma and works with individuals in her therapy practice to heal the pain of betrayal trauma.  Julie is a wife and mom to ten children she parents with her husband, Joel, ranging in ages from 23 years – 4 months.  Julie is passionate about restoring the pieces of a broken heart, understanding that a wife’s heart can be mended back together and live in a newfound freedom.

Disclaimer:  Because of the sensitive nature and trusted relationships that will be built among participants, it will be expected that a commitment is made to attend all seven meetings.  The group will be kept to a maximum number as to allow time and space for all participants to share.  This will be a closed women’s group to provide consistency and continuity among participants.
