GIVEN KC is back for another incredible day to celebrate who we are as women, to grow in a deeper understanding of what it means to be a Catholic woman & to discover how women just like you have learned to face and overcome some of the obstacles that we encounter in our everyday journeys.
GIVEN KC is an annual, one-day young adult women’s conference intended to empower women to see and embrace their God-given gifts in order to more fully live out their authentic femininity. The overall focus is to encourage you to receive the gift you are, to realize the gifts you've been given and to respond with the gift only you can give. This conference is response to Pope Francis’ plea for a deeper understanding and activation of the unique gift of women in the Church and the world. To achieve this, we aim to provide a platform for women to better understand what St. John Paul II called “the feminine genius". We will be blessed with wisdom and encouragement from both lay women within our community and a variety of religious orders near and far.
This year we will be blessed with an opening prayer by Archbishop Joseph Naumann, Mass celebrated by Bishop Johnston and keynote speaker Sr. Miriam James Heidland, SOLT.
Ticket prices will include breakfast and lunch; a full day of talks, workshops and prayer time; and a binder of spiritual resources for personal development. Registration + breakfast will be available starting at 7:30am with talks beginning at 8am and the day will conclude at 4:00pm.
